The
Wildebeest Migration is a dramatic story. It takes place within Kenya and
Tanzania and is the greatest wildlife show on earth. Between the open plains of
the Serengeti and the Masai Mara, thousands of wildebeest and zebras migrate to
greener pastures as the seasons change and the circle of life and death continues.
Predators follow the Wildebeest Migration closely, waiting for an opportunity
to strike weak prey as they make their way into different territories.
Selous
Safari The Selous Game Reserve is big. Covering
50 000 sq km, it is 50% larger than Switzerland and is traversed by the world's
greatest remaining herds buffalo, elephant, hippo and sable antelope. Our
tours to the the Selous normally concentrate around the northern section of the
park and the Rufiji River. The Rufiji River defines the Selous experience. Navigating
the network of lakes and rivers in a boat offers you an unusual view of the big
game. Sandbanks
crowded with huge crocodiles; carmine bee-eaters flying in crimson clouds around
the exposed mud banks; and swampy islands where elephants browse. Accessibility
to the Selous is difficult and for this reason most of our Selous safaris are
fly-in. Guided game walks and nights spent fly-camping will add an extra element
of excitement and wildness to your safari. You will experience untouched Africa
at its wildest when you visit the Selous. Search
