Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV) The Exodus: Retracing the Footsteps of Moses Tour 17 tour egypt and israel. Day 1 You will depart your home cities the day prior and then we arrive in Cairo this morning, we rest at the famous Mena House - overlooking the Pyramids. Later we visit the Egyptian Museum for a teaching on the wonders that are in this massive place that prove the Bible to be true via hieroglyphics. The actual name of Pharaoh of the Exodus is not recorded in the Bible but it may actually be possible to see the man (mummy) that Moses spoke to during the time of the Exodus. Bob uncovers the mysteries of this museum - especially how it identifies the accuracy of the Bible once comparing it to the Egyptian writings in the museum. This afternoon we visit the Pyramids at Giza. It is amazing to think that these Pyramids were well known to Jacob, Moses and Aaron at the time of the Exodus and were probably seen by Jesus himself. Day 2 Cairo Off to Sakkara! This fascinating place is where they recently discovered that large mounds that they thought were hills were found to be Joseph's storehouses! Also out in this area is the Ancient Capital of Egypt - Memphis and the oldest of the pyramids called the Step Pyramid. Day 3 Cairo Today we visit the City of the Dead where we will meet an American young man who operates a children's ministry out of the dumps of Cairo. We also visit the colorful Khan Bazaar where we can purchase frankincense and myrrh. Off this afternoon to fly to Luxor. Our hotel is precious and sits on the quiet side of the Nile in view of the commanding temple. Day 4 Luxor Full day visit of the West Bank of the Nile. We will visit the Valley of the Kings, Queens and Nobles including the tomb of child Pharaoh Tutankhamen. This afternoon we also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memmon. We visit an island in the middle of the Nile this evening for a special teaching on the time that God's people spent on the Nile. Day 5 Luxor Today we visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor with our Egyptologist. We will study the writings in tandem with The Word of God. Later today we travel out in the desert to see El Kab. This ancient cemetery was discovered in 2000 by Belgian archeologists. Return to our little oasis for the night. Day 6 Sinai Peninsula This morning we fly to Sharm el Sheik. We are met and transferred to the view point of the probable crossing of the Israelites. We continue on to our hotel on the Red Sea. Time to enjoy the pool and access to the sea. Day 7 Sinai Peninsula Load up this morning in 4WD vehicles and head out into the desert. We will stop along the way for sightings of Menorah's sketched into rocks. Our destination is a mountain top overlook onto Jabal-al-Lawz. We will spend the afternoon at a Bedouin Camp for a barbeque lunch. Enjoy the children and ladies selling their hand made wares. They don't receive a lot of tourists out here so it is special for them and us! Day 8 Sinai Peninsula Today you can take an optional tour to the traditional site of St. Catherine's Monastery. If you choose to stay at the hotel you could enjoy some spa services or shopping. Day 9 Land of Goshen Today will be a full day of traversing the Sinai over the famous Suez Canal and then into the Land of Goshen to retrace the footsteps of Joseph. We arrive in Cairo late this evening. We celebrate tonight what God has shown us about this land and its importance to our faith. Day 10. Return home.
