SHORT CHRISTIAN TOUR OF ROME departures daily except Saturday, Sunday rome pilgrimage.

DAY 1: ROME ARRIVAL Arrival to Rome. Transfer to the hotel on your own. Overnight in Rome.

DAY 2 - CHRISTIAN ROME (Basilica of St. Mary Major, Basilica of St. John in Lateran, Ancient Appian Way, The Catacombs of St. Callixtus) Breakfast at a hotel. Morning at leisure. At 13:45 we will leave Piazza San Bernardo, adorned crossing Piazza della Repubblica. Drive along Via Nazionale and then a visit to the Basilica of St. Mary Major, built on the Esquiline Hill in 352 A.D. The tour will be continued visiting the Basilica of St. John in Lateran, cathedral of Rome and of the world.

Hence, we will go to the Holy Stairs, climbed by Jesus Christ to reach Pilate's Palace. From here the tour will be continued by coach crossing Piazza San Giovanni and Via Latina. Skirting along the Mura Latine, the tour will pass through the Porta di San Sebastiano to arrive on the ancient Appian way, where the Chapel of "Domine Quo Vadis" is located. Visit of the Catacombs of St. Callixtus (approx. 45 min. On Wednesdays the Catacombs of S. Domitilla will be visited instead). On return the bus will be passing the Caracalla Baths. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Rome.

DAY 3 - ROME: Vatican Museums - Vatican Galleries - Sistine Chapel - Vatican - Library Hall At 08:15 we are leaving Piazza San Bernardo, adorned by Moses' Fountain, heading to Piazza della Repubblica with the Fountain of Naiadi in the middle. Then the itinerary will continue, passing by Via Piemonte, the Aurelian Walls, Porta Pinciana, the Muro Torto and the Villa Borghese. After this ample view of an important part of the city, we will visit the Vatican Museums and the Vatican Galleries.

You will then admire the Round Hall, the Hall of the Greek Cross, the burial site of Constantine's two daughters: Helena and Constanza. We will then stop to admire the Sistine Chapel frescoed by Michelangelo. We will continue with the Galleries of the Chandeliers, of the Tapestries and of the Geographical Maps to end up in the Vatican Library Hall. Afternoon free. Overnight in Rome.

DAY 4: ROME DEPARTURE Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport on your own.
