One Upon arrival at Maun airport you will be met by a company representative
for your light aircraft charter transfer flight to Oddballs Camp. Oddballs' is
situated on the edge of Chief's Island, deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta.
The camp is accessible by light aircraft only. On arrival you will be met at the
airstrip and welcomed to the island. Accommodation is in dome tents, fully equipped,
and set on elevated wooden decks shaded by reed shelters.
These
tents are the same tents used by most mobile operators in Botswana. Beautiful
outdoor showers and ablutions are shared. The bar and lounge areas have comfortable
seating, and a raised viewing deck overlooks the sweep of the delta - the perfect
place to watch the sun set over the palms, and view whatever wildlife may be visiting.
Meals are simple, yet wholesome and enjoyed in the main complex. Activities are
conducted by your own professional guide (a maximum of two guests per guide),
a man of the swamp, born and bred. He has a mokoro (dug-out
canoe) in which he will take you to nearby islands, where you will walk to view
game and the spectacular landscape that is the Okavango. It might also be possible
to visit his village, meet the elders and perhaps his family. Subject to water
levels, it is also possible to go camping. For guests staying for four nights
or more, Oddballs' offers camping trails. All equipment and provisions are packed
into your mokoro as you set off with your guide for an unforgettable wilderness
experience. Camping equipment is provided, though it is suggested that you bring
your own sleeping bag. Oddballs' caters for the young and young at heart and undoubtedly

ablutions. Day Four After breakfast and check out,
depart Oddballs Camp via light aircraft charter transfer flight to Mapula Lodge.
Mapula Lodge is situated in the North Eastern area of the Okavango Delta, just
outside the Moremi Game Reserve. This is a private area thus being able to offer
a full spectrum of activities. The main complex with its sweeping decks overlooks
the permanent lagoon where the resident pod of hippopotamus resides. Here
you will find the comfortable lounge, dining area and a bar area with one of the
best views in the Okavango Delta. A small library and swimming pool completes
the main area. Each of the 10 luxury chalets has a traditional design and use
of natural log provide unique detail. The attention to detail and use of local
craftsmanship in the construction of the Chalets is particularly impressive and
attractive. The units all boast a small lounge and a full bathroom (with bathtub
and outside shower). Game viewing is particularly good in
this area, and the trees around the Lodge are home to a huge variety of birds.
Being in a permanent water area, Mapula Lodge can offer year round water activities,
especially important during January - May when water levels in the Okavango can
become too low in most area's to allow the use of the traditional mokoro. Walking
safaris with experienced guides and tracker, night drives in search of nocturnal
animals. In the early morning and late afternoons game drives are conducted in
comfortable safari vehicles. Spend 3 nights at Mapula Lodge
